Call for Artists: Pajama Factory Artist in Residence Program (Applications due: April 15, 2019)

    The Pajama Factory, located in Williamsport, PA, invites artists to apply to the 2019 Pajama Factory Artist-in-Residence (AIR) Program. Artists of all disciplines, career levels, and localities are encouraged to apply to this multidisciplinary, immersive residency. Applicants must be 18 years or older.

    Artists spend 8 weeks (June 7 - August 3) creating, communing, and exploring in the expansive 300,000 square feet of the Pajama Factory – a rehabilitated historic factory complex with authentic charm and endless possibility.

    Throughout the residency, artists have unlimited access to resources including a knowledgeable staff, local artist network, and Pajama Factory studios – a photo lab, clay studio, woodshop, printing and fiber arts studio, and shared studio space.

    The 2019 deadline to apply is 11:59PM (EST) on Monday, April 15th, 2019.

    Applications must include:

    • Basic Applicant Information :: The form can be accessed at air.pajamafactory.net
    • Statement of Intent :: Please provide a statement (not to exceed 300 words) that describes your interest in this particular residency, how you are uniquely qualified for this residency, the nature of your work, and/or what you hope to explore during this residency.
    • Work Samples :: Each artist may submit up to 10 work samples depicting the current nature of their work. Files must be one of the following file types: gif, jpg, svg, pdf, zip, and Office Files. Work Samples can be submitted in any combination of the following formats:
      • Images (Max File Size = 2MB)
      • PDF photo compilations (not to exceed 1 page each)
      • Videos/Video Links (not to exceed 5 minutes)
      • Audio/Audio Links (not to exceed 5 minutes each)
      • Writing Samples (not to exceed 3 pages each)
      • Presentations (not to exceed 10 slides each)
    • Resume :: No longer than 2 pages. Your resume should summarize your experience in your stated discipline(s) as an artist
    • Two References :: Names, emails, and phone numbers for 2 professional references who can speak to your work & your potential to succeed in this residency.
