Art in the Wilds prepares for 15th Annual Show

Kane’s Fifteenth Annual Art in the Wilds art show is happening!  The popular fine art and fine crafts show will be held Saturday, June 26 from 10 AM to 5 PM and Sunday, June 27 from 10 AM to 4 PM.

Because last year’s show had to be held virtually, all the artists who were juried into the 2020 show have been accepted into this year’s show, according to Director Merry Ryding, and all but four of the 2020 artists will be participating this year.  Artists were chosen for the quality of their work, and with consideration to balancing the variety of media.

The artists are thrilled to be back doing a live show and they especially missed the interaction with the browsers and buyers in their booths.  Artwork is more easily appreciated in person as opposed to viewing virtually online.

“Our committee has been planning throughout the year, mindful of the ever-changing CDC guidelines, for the 2021 show. As anyone can imagine, things may look a little different from previous years. The artist tents as well as the dining tents will be spaced further apart to avoid overcrowding. Wash stations will be set up for convenience and safety. Art in the Wilds will adhere to what the Center for Disease Control suggests for outdoor gatherings. We are in a constant state of flux, as we have all experienced, so we want to do our utmost to ensure everyone’s safety and comfort. Art in the Wilds thanks you for your help in meeting these goals!” said Ryding. “Sadly, due to the effect of the pandemic on the school year, our annual Student Art Show is canceled though we do look forward to seeing all of their wonderful work in 2022!”
