Ben Franklin, Invent Penn State offers virtual ‘Business Startup Boot Camp’
Ben Franklin’s TechCelerator@StateCollege, a partnership with the Invent Penn State initiative, is again offering local entrepreneurs, grad-students, professors, and university researchers its VIRTUAL 10-Week Business Startup Boot Camp. You’ll expand your network, engage with other successful entrepreneurs, discuss your business model with experts and develop a pitch that could win you up to $10,000!
The weekly ZOOM sessions will run on Tuesdays, September 22, 2020 – Tuesday, December 8, 2020 from 2:00 – 5:00 P.M. One-hour on-line mentoring/coaching sessions will also be provided each week.
This is a no-cost opportunity! Assistance with legal, accounting, or customer discovery costs will be provided, and you’ll have the chance to pitch to a panel of judges at the completion of the course. In addition, select teams may also be eligible for a grant from the Invent Penn State NSF I-Corps Site.
Business mentoring from Ben Franklin’s Transformation Business Services Network and Penn State’s Small Business Development Center staff will also be available. You’ll come away from this experience with a working business model, networking contacts, and the confidence that comes from knowing if it’s the right time to start developing your innovation.
The deadline for applications is September 11, 2020.
