Clinton County | Elk Country, Dark Skies and I-80 Frontier Landscape of the PA Wilds

Clinton County offers an invitation to explore trails, parks, forests and scenic waterways as well as a vibrant community full of local businesses. Serving parts of the Elk Country, Dark Skies and I-80 Frontier Landscape of the PA Wilds region and located at the heart of Clinton County is the Clinton County Economic Partnership (CCEP). The CCEP is continuously working to help facilitate opportunities for adventures and economic development while also coordinating state funding at the local level.

The CCEP office is located at 212 North Jay Street in Lock Haven, PA. This private, non-profit organization includes the Chamber of Commerce, the Tourism/Visitors Bureau, and commercial and industrial development activities. The CCEP is a member-based entity that supports economic growth and provides programs and networking opportunities for its members.

The Clinton County Chamber of Commerce focuses on enhancing local business and community connections. The Enterprise Zone, part of CCEP, aims to create and retain jobs in the county. Also included in the partnership is Leadership Clinton County which is a comprehensive leadership development program.

The Clinton County Visitors Bureau’s goal is to market and promote the county’s diverse offering of activities.   Visitors to the PA Wilds I-80 Frontier Landscape east central region can discover adventures in four state parks and one state forest: Bucktail State Park Natural Area, Hyner Run State Park, Hyner View State Park, Kettle Creek State Park, and Sproul State Forest. The region boasts a network of trails and scenic waterways,  including the Susquehanna River.

With more than 60% of its land available for public use, Clinton County is where rivers and valleys meet mountains and sunsets. The Clinton County Economic Partnership welcomes both visitors and economic development opportunities.
