Edge of the Woods Photography: Highlighting the beauty of the PA Wilds through photography and more
Tioga County | Pine Creek Valley and the PA Grand Canyon Landscape of the PA Wilds
Bernadette Chiaramonte is the owner and visionary behind Edge of the Woods Photography. She is a multi-talented artist and Juried artisan of the Wilds Cooperative of Pennsylvania, nestled in the serene Pine Creek Valley and PA Grand Canyon Landscape of the PA Wilds. Chiaramonte draws inspiration for her artwork from her surroundings, her passion for art and nature can be seen throughout all her creative endeavors.
Chiaramonte’s passion for art has continued to grow over the years, initially taking solace in art as a way to decompress from the stress of her work as an emergency room nurse. She is now retired from her 20 year medical career, and focuses on her various artistic pursuits. She calls her photography a “love affair with life.” In addition to working with a camera, she also paints in oils, works with charcoal, solders glass, dabbles in woodwork, and has experience with silkscreen and linocut (a type of block printing).
Times spent in nature are both a comfort and an inspiration. Most of Chiaramonte’s art work focuses on wildlife and landscapes which are influenced by the Pine Creek Valley and PA Grand Canyon. Her journeys throughout the PA Wilds regions also capture beautiful scenes of nature, old buildings, and landmarks.
In addition to being a juried artisan in the Wilds Cooperative of Pennsylvania, Chiaramonte is also a member of the Professional Photographers of America, Grand Canyon Photography Club, and the Audubon Society.
Bernadette Chiaramonte is a Professional Level Juried Artisan through her business Edge of the Woods Photography under the Creative Maker membership in the Wilds Cooperative of Pennsylvania.
