Patinaz: Two jewelry artisans help others ‘Shop local & buy handmade’
Lycoming County | I-80 Frontier of the PA Wilds
By LaKeshia Knarr
On a stroll down West Fourth Street in Williamsport, you’ll find patinaz — one of many storefronts in the largest city in the Pennsylvania Wilds.
This eclectic boutique and retail shop is home to Jules Artwear and Simply Sterling Designs, two jewelry companies operated by artisans Jule Sanford and Suzette Mason.
The women describe their shop, located at 38 W. Fourth St., as “two fun jewelry girls bringing the traveling show to a brick and mortar gallery in downtown Williamsport.”

But it is also much more than that.
While patinaz offers a permanent home for Jule and Suzette’s jewelry operations, the retail location also offered an opportunity for the artisans to honor their “Shop local & Buy handmade” philosophy in a new way.
They invited other artisans who craft different wares and products to sell within their shop.
The original sterling silver and 14K gold-filled jewelry handcrafted by Jule and Suzette is complemented by various other items made by over 55 featured artisans. Whether you’re looking for ceramics, photography, wooden wares, women’s boutique clothing and accessories, beauty care products, or something else unique — patinaz is likely to have something to suit your needs!
An open invitation for other Pennsylvania based artisans to sell their wares at patinaz is available on the company’s Facebook page.
