Penn State SBDC: Supporting entrepreneurs with education, tools and info
Clinton, Centre + Lycoming Counties | I-80 Frontier of the PA Wilds

Serving Centre, Clinton and Lycoming Counties, the Penn State Small Business Development Center (Penn State SBDC) provides entrepreneurs with the education, information, and tools necessary to build successful small businesses.
The free or low-cost seminars and programs offered are complimented by free, confidential consulting services for those looking to start or grow a small business. These professional development services cover a variety of topics across a range of business issues, including business planning, feasibility studies, market research, financing/loan packaging, marketing, scaling for growth, hiring and managing employees, and other areas of management and technical support.
While the Penn State SBDC’s main office is located just outside of the PA Wilds region on the Penn State University campus in State College, the SBDC also has a satellite office in Lock Haven, as well as an outreach location in Williamsport.
Partnerships with affiliate organizations and others, such as Invent Penn State, Ben Franklin Technology Partners, PennTAP, local Chambers of Commerce and economic development groups, and lending institutions, the SBDC provides entrepreneurs and small business owners the knowledge needed to prosper.
The Penn State SBDC is one of the 16 university- and college-based SBDCs in Pennsylvania, and there are three other SBDCs that also serve the PA Wilds region, including: Clarion SBDC (Cameron, Clarion, Clearfield, Elk, Forest, Jefferson, McKean, Potter); Gannon University (Warren); The University of Scranton (Tioga).
