You're NEVER know where the decision to try something new will lead! I have been drawing for as long as I can recall and painting since 2003. I taught my first art workshop in 2008 at the local library and that sparked my passion for sharing the joy of creativity with others. I am a teaching artist working with children and adults, however my primarily focus is developing lessons for seniors in assisted living and long term care facilities. When I am not teaching I am in my home studio painting silk or drawing designs inspired by the region for Paint the PA Wilds Art Kits OR you may find me outside exploring with my dachshund Monty. __________________________________________ -2016 Recipient of the Heart in the Arts Award, Elk County Council on the Arts -2015 Recipient of the 'Champion of the Pa Wilds' Artisan of The Year -2014 Best of the Best Award, Pennsylvania Council on the Arts -2014 & 2016 Artwork Selected as the WPSU Art for the Airwaves Poster . _________________________________________ Find her work at: Elk County Council on the Arts in Ridgway, Cameron County Chamber and Artisan Center and The Kane Historical Society Website- www.juliemader.com Juried PA Wilds Artisan since 2008, PA Council on the Arts Rostered Teaching Artist, Lifetime Arts Rostered Teaching Artist, Teaching Artists Guild (member), National Organization for Arts in Health (member)
