I started out years ago photographing my children and all that they were involved in. I still photograph my children, grandchildren, family and friends but my photography has gradually evolved into nature and wildlife photography. I’ve hiked a lot of miles over lots of different paths with my camera around my neck and my husband by my side. I love getting out in nature and letting the photos come to me. I never know just what God is going to show me as He directs my path. Sometimes I go out with a specific place in mind or looking for something specific to photograph, then a small series of choices and events happen creating a totally different path. I end up going to places I might not have gone to and finding inspiration in the least likely places. Some of my best photos come from days like these. Sometimes small, insignificant changes lead to finding more than I had hoped for. God always gives us what we need but not necessarily what we’re looking for, sometimes more than we had hoped for.
