I've always loved to create handmade items as gifts, and when I ran out of people to give them to, I decided to try selling them! My mind is always so full of design ideas and now that I'm recently retired from my full-time job as a 911 dispatcher, I'm hoping to turn those ideas into realities. My interest in jewelry really began when I started to read about all the different gemstones and their meanings. This led to creating my pieces with a "theme" and including a card with each piece that describes the attributes of the stones used, and how they tie into that theme. I may duplicate a general theme at times, but each piece is crafted as a one of a kind, meaningful, and personal treasure. I also love to do decorative painting on found items, as well as and knit and crochet. I particularly enjoy knitting hats, scarves and socks, which I also sell at the shows I attend. I've been married to my high school sweetheart for 40 years, have 3 wonderful daughters and sons-in-law, and recently acquired two miniature long-haired dachshund puppies, Pete and Olive <3
