She is a fine art painter and fabric artist who specializes in painting animal portraits, primarily endangered species, and creating whimsical soft sculpture creatures inspired by the natural world, mythology and folklore. Ellen received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art with a focus in painting. In addition to her work as a visual artist, Ellen is a professional Celtic harpist, arts advocate, and avid enjoyer of the outdoors.
