Hyner View State Park features a scenic vista and is a favorite spot for hang gliding. You can see vast distances both upstream and downstream over the West Branch of the Susquehanna River and surrounding mountains. This small park features one of the nicest overlooks in DCNR’s Bureau of State Parks and is popular for hang gliding. Hyner Run State Park is nearby. The stream Hyner Run carves a small valley from the surrounding steep mountains, creating a cozy, quiet place for an outdoor adventure. The park is entirely surrounded by Sproul State Forest, Pennsylvania's largest state forest. We have camping, a modern cabin that sleeps eight, fishing, 2 swimming pools - one is a wading pool, hiking, picnicking and 2 pavilions. Also interpretive programs twice a month in June, July and August
