Kettle Creek State Park consists of 1,793 acres along Kettle Creek in western Clinton County. The park is in a valley surrounded by mountainous terrain and wilderness. There is an abundance of wildlife including Bald Eagles, elk, deer and bear. A variety of habitat types makes for great birdwatching. Many of the existing recreational facilities arose from a joint flood control project developed by the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers and the former Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Resources. The flood control reservoir is both a warm and cold water fishery - making year round fishing a popular activity. The reservoir is also open to electric motors only, making it a good kayaking and canoeing destination. There are no boat rentals - so visitors must bring their own. There is an equestrian campground available for folks who wish to bring their horses - check with park office for information.
