Do you wish you could spend a quiet weekend in a cabin in the woods? Do you long for peace and quiet, a place where you can escape from the rat race and commotion of our fast paced society? Do you enjoy the beauty of nature, birds singing, forests and fields filled with wildlife and skies so dark you can see the Milky Way and millions of stars? We have just what you’re looking for! We offer a stand-alone cabin as a bed and breakfast for weekend getaways or for longer vacations. We are centrally located in the state and we are close to many of the best outdoor activities offered in the PA Wilds. Guests can sit on the porch to watch birds, deer, turkey and if you're lucky, black bear and elk. We also have hiking trails on our 24 acre property. Campfire wood, cooking rack and utensils are also provided. We also host house concerts in the main house next door several times a year. A house concert is a more intimate experience for listening to music. It is a performance rather than background music in a noisy venue. We host bands from around the world; Celtic, Jazz, Singer-songwriters, and Bluegrass. Come to the PA Wilds and stay at North Star Cabin at Oak Mountain Hideaway!
