About Member

Pleasant Valley Farm, located in Tionesta, has been a family farm since just after the Revolutionary War. Today, it is home to Dan & Emily Stevenson, a husband-wife team of farmers and makers. Dan has become an accomplished blacksmith, creating beautiful, functional pieces such as handles, pot racks, fire pokers and much more. They have shipped his work to all 50 states several times over, as well as to every continent except Antarctica. He specializes in handcrafted home goods such as pot racks, handles, hooks, shelf brackets and more. He also takes on custom commissions, either resizing a standard item or working from your personal design to create something just for you! Emily is passionate about history and antiques. She offers a curated collection of vintage and antique items, primarily cast iron cookware and books. She is an accomplished seamstress as well and offers a small selection of vintage inspired aprons, created with modern fabric and vintage 1940's patterns. Each apron is unique and a one of a kind creation! Dan and Emily raise heritage breed livestock at the farm. These are old time breeds not suited for industrial agriculture, which has caused some to become in danger of extinction. Emily hatches and sells baby poultry throughout the spring months, and they offer breeding stock of larger animals like cattle and sheep as well.
