My mother was an art major and would tell you she is not much of an artist. Art was ingrained in us growing up. I am now a silversmith and enamel artist that hand fabricates everything I make. Quality is highly important to me. Not just the traditional hand fabricated silver work and the finish of the enamel but also of the stones in my work, as I typically work with mostly turquoises. I tend to start with the stone and let it tell me where the design will go. This path leads me to a traditional southwest feel in my work. Thus, I have a modern old pawn ascetic due to my love of vintage and turquoise and this lets my jewelry continue to build its story for lifetimes to come. I make jewelry that lasts generations. When worn it not only brings back wonderful memories of the past but is also creating new memories in the present.
