The Bechakas family has been in the restaurant business for generations. James T. Bechakas, who emigrated from Greece in 1911, purchased the Greek-American confectionary from his father in the year 1919. This was called the Palace of Sweets, located in the same building where the 4-Sons Dining Room is now.
