PA Route 6 Alliance seeking Artisan Trail Coordinator

PA Route 6 Alliance has an opening for a new Artisan Trail Coordinator. If you have a special interest in northern PA’s rich arts culture and would love to make a difference in its communities, this position might be for you.

The position of the PA Route 6 Artisan Trail Coordinator is to develop, facilitate and coordinate the components of the PA Route 6 Artisan Trail. The Artisan Trail Coordinator is a part-time position in which the Coordinator represents the vision, mission, goals and programs of the PA Route 6 Alliance.

The Coordinator is expected to implement the programs as recommended by the PA Route 6 Artisan Trail Committee and approved by the PA Route 6 Alliance Board and develop products that represent both Route 6 and local artisans. This position can be remotely based with periodical visits to the PA Route 6 office.

ABOUT THE PA ROUTE 6 ARTISAN TRAIL

The PA Route 6 Artisan Trail has been actively promoting the artisans and crafters of the northern tier since 2005. Today it represents a network of over 500 artisans in the eleven counties linked by the PA Route 6 Heritage Corridor.

The vision of the PA Route 6 Artisan Trail and Heritage Corridor is to offer high quality experiences along the Corridor and be a nationally recognized model for a Trail program through its development of loop trails, heritage stories, community-based artisan co-ops/stores, murals and community connectivity. The PA Route 6 Artisan Trail is a year-round trail designed to establish Route 6 as a driving destination for exploring the heritage and folk-life of northern Pennsylvania through products produced in that area.

This is part-time position, subject to annual renewal based on funding. The position pays $17.50 an hour for approximately 40 hours a month, not to exceed 480 hours a year.   The successful candidate will be expected to visit the office on a regularly scheduled basis to update the Executive Director and manage files/ paperwork.

This position is funded through the Bureau of Conservation and Recreation of the PA Department of Conservation and Natural Resources. Applicant must adhere to all DCNR requirements stated in the grant program.
