PA Route 6 Educational Summit & Annual Meeting planned for September in Kane

The PA Route 6 Educational Summit & Annual Meeting was postponed in 2020 due to COVID-19. However, the PA Route 6 Alliance looks to combined the 2020 summit with the 2021 event. The 2020/2021 PA Route 6 Educational Summit & Annual Meeting is slated for September 15-16, 2021, in Kane, the 2019 Heritage Community of the Year.

The event kicks off with an Educational Summit designed for chambers of commerce, economic development groups, and businesses. This day of informational sessions on community development will also include a walking tour of downtown Kane and an evening reception sponsored by the Allegheny National Forest Visitors Bureau.

The Annual Meeting and “Do 6” Awards held on the second day include time for networking and viewing sponsor displays, the PA Route 6 Annual Business Meeting, and a presentation from a special Keynote Speaker. The event culminates with the annual “Do 6” Award Ceremony, honoring individuals, organizations, and events for their accomplishments in the categories of Heritage Partnership, Leadership, Heritage Community of the Year, Heritage Tourism, Artisan of the Year, and Lifetime Achievement.
