Thursday, September 24, 9:30 a.m.–12:00 p.m. ET
The COVID-19 pandemic is having a significant impact on Pennsylvania’s rural workforce and employers. Workers have been experiencing significant disruption or displacement as businesses close and work itself adjusts to socially distancing and remote protocols. Workers in most sectors of the economy have been affected, but this has been particularly challenging for workers in accommodations and food service, recreation, and retail. This assembly will explore the job training needs in the state’s rural communities and how job training can be an investment in an equitable recovery.
