The Clinton County Arts Council will host its Juried Photo Show for 2022, titled “Ways of Seeing,” from June 10th to July 3rd, 2022. This year’s annual regional photography show will be open to all interested photographers living within a 150 mile radius of Lock Haven.
The Northern Appalachia Review welcomes submissions of poetry, fiction, and nonfiction written about, representing, or engaging with the experience of living in or being from what we define in our mission statement as northern Appalachia. Submissions will be accepted through June 15, 2022.
Nine small business owners in the Pennsylvania Wilds region are working their way through a course meant to inspire and grow their businesses. The program started on April 14 as the entrepreneurs, representing nine different businesses from across the PA Wilds, gathered in Williamsport to kick off the 2022 PA Wilds PACE program, a 5-week professional development course designed to help scale rural businesses.
In 1994, Kevin Abbott made his first pair of earrings — a sun and moon set — for his wife, Mary. Since then, more than 300 designs have been developed by Kevin and the artisans employed at the couple’s earring company, Jabebo.
Artists are invited to apply to participate in the 2022 Art in the Wilds juried show by March 15. The event is held in Kane, a community located in the Allegheny National Forest and Surrounds landscape of the PA Wilds.
