Lisa Spangler Bio:
Lisa grew up in the Allegheny Plateau region near Youngstown, Ohio and spent her summers camping in the forests of Pennsylvania and West Virginia, where her dad taught her a deep appreciation for nature. She’s been on a mission to “pay it forward” and share her joy of nature journaling and watercolor to get people excited about our public lands, because the more you know about a place, the more you treasure it. A software engineer by trade, she firmly believes that if she can learn to draw and paint anyone can! She currently has work from previous artist residencies on display at Canyons of the Ancients National Monument, Colorado and Valles Caldera National Preserve, New Mexico. After living in Texas for over 20 years, she’s excited to be coming back to her roots and can’t wait to get Allegheny National Forest in her brush.
