Envision Appalachia: Community Conversations for ARC’s New Strategic Plan
The Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) invites the public to participate in Envision Appalachia: Community Conversations for ARC’s Strategic Plan, a series of virtual public input sessions to identify critical opportunities and challenges facing Appalachia’s economic future. Insights gathered from these public sessions, as well as a public survey and guidance from regional, state, and local partners, will help ARC develop its strategic investment plan for fiscal years 2022-26.
Every five years, ARC updates our strategic investment plan, which helps ARC determine what types of projects it will invest in throughout the Region, which includes 420 counties from 13 states. As an expert in your community, it’s critical that your input for envisioning Appalachia’s future is heard. Help ensure the Pennsylvania Wilds included by taking the public survey or signing up to participate in one of the four virtual input sessions.
Each 90-minute facilitated session will include a cross-section of community members from Appalachia providing their feedback on strengths, challenges, solutions and opportunities.
ABOUT ARC
The Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) is led by a Commission composed of the Governors from each of the Region’s 13 states, and a Federal Co-Chairman who is appointed by the President and confirmed by the Senate. Each year, the governors select a States’ Co-Chair to lead the Commission in partnership with the Federal Co-Chairman.
